Georgetown is a liberal Catholic institution. All dorms are co-ed and
all students are encouraged to express their own religion and or sexual
orientation. However there are issues with personal freedoms (no sexual
education or sexual standards) as well as some incidences of political
clashes between the conservative and liberal groups that share campus.
Housing is no long an issue with recent completion of new dorm complex
and dining hall. Georgetown neighborhood is safe, although parts of
surrounding DC is not. Area residents often complain about student
parties and relations with the community are often strained. Excellent
spiritual services for all faiths. Poor sexual services due to
Catholic affiliation. Currently many issues with gay, lesbian, bisexual
and transgender community on campus.
