When I graduated the job market was not great and the career placement center on
campus was pretty weak. I did not get much assistance at all from them - a few
mass on campus interviews from employers who probably weren't really hiring
anyway. However, through corporate sponsorship from MBNA the career center has
gotten a lot bigger (not sure how much better, just bigger). The alumni career
resources, on the other hand, are pretty good. The university has done a great
job of creating an on line alumni career network. I made use of it in my last
job search and found some great contacts and information from fellow alumni. The
on line alumni career resource center is, of course, only as good as the
participate level among alumni. Each time I get on there more and more alumni
have jumped on board to volunteer their advice.
