There was not much of an admissions process. I did not have an interview
because I was a transfer student from a community college. I felt like
most of the "academic advisors" were giving false advice. For instance,
I knew many people that were short credits their senior year because of
misinformation from the advisors.Another issue was the unavailability of
the advisors. Even if you made an appointment, they would keep you
waiting forever, which would often make you late for other classes.
Although they did have walk-in hours, you would have to sit there all
day to be seen. Perhaps, they should prioritize the subject of each
appointment. Seniors graduating that semester should take first priority
over a freshman getting out of a class that he/she doesm't like. This is
not the case at FAU.
