Housing at FAMU has become a limited commodity in the recent years due
to increases in enrollment. However, Tallahassee provides many student
friendly arrangements. I should say that Tallahassee is a "college
town." FAMU, Florida State University and Tallahassee Community College
attract over 75,000 students. FAMU has many facilities including
bowling alley on campus. The Tallahassee crime rates are so minimal as
most of it's residents are college students. For example, the
Tallahassee Police Department has nothing better to do than to block gas
stations for hang outs:)
