Social life is both on/off campus. On campus includes fraternity
parties as well as other selective living group parties, most of which
are open to all. Some students just like to throw parties in their
room and invite friends, which can be the most fun of all. Off campus
there are several clubs, Bullies, Shooters, Parizades, among others
that draw a good portion of students. Basketball is pretty big at Duke
which lends itself into K-Ville, a tenting town erected in anticipation
the UNC and UMD games, and that itself is one huge party on occasion.
Most students are involved in clubs ranging from Duke Student
Government to Duke Democrats--there are all sorts of clubs--so its
almost certain you'd find one that suits you.
