Duke is located in Durham, which leaves something to be desired,
although its not as bad as people say. It has an interesting diversity
which makes at least the restaurant scene somewhat interesting. On
campus, Duke is magnificenet. The quads are manicured, the trees are
majestic, and everything looks amazing on the outside. Housing is
fine, most dorms are nice (GA perhaps the least nice of them all), and
dining on campus is hands down amazing. You aren't required to be on a
board plan after first year, so can eat all sorts of food. Campus is
safe, but there have been incidents which have prompted the Duke Univ.
Police Dept. to step up some.
