Admissions to Duke was a fairly typical process. It was common
application with a couple supplements, all very typical of schools of
Duke's calibur. Alumni interviews are given only if you apply by
December 1, which was not an option for me, as I applied early
elsewhere. I think Duke really values teachers recs. and essays as my
SAT's were slightly below the Duke average. Generally I get the
impression Duke takes a more wholistic approach to the process than
perhaps other institutions, which definitely works to most students
advantange.
