Quality of life at DIckinson was wonderful. The student body was all
generally from the same area on the East Coast so we all had similar
goals and aspirations. Housing was wretched the first two years becuase I
had to share with someone else and I prefer living alone. But by my
Junior year, I was in a single. The campus at Dickinson is absolutely
beuatiful especially in Fall and Spring. The facilities weren't that
great when I ws there but in the last 20 years, the school has done major
renovating and now has a spectacular gymnasium, science hall and many
other improvements that I am sure affect the students in a poi\sitive
way. The dinig was mediocre. I hated cafeteria food and lived on pizz for
four years. The neighborhood is nice - quiet and country like. I came
form New York City so anything would seem like back country to me. As far
as crime and safety is concerned, the only bad thing I ever expereinced
while in Carlisle occurred on campus. So there never really was an issue
with that.
