I am not impressed here. They promise the moon & stars upon admission. Citing
these employment statistics, such as 98% placement before garduation, etc...
Then at graduation, it's "well the economy is bad, but we'll do the best we
can".
The career advisor I have, I suspect is new to the job and is not very thorough.
The leads he sends me are just nor correct (e.g. requires more experience than
I
have and once was in the wrong career path entirely).
When going over my resume, I deliberately left some obvious typos on it, to see
if they were really looking at the resume or just brushing it off with a quick
glance. When they sent it back to me with suggestions, the typos were still
there and no suggestion on fixing them.
The DeVry name still carries some steam, but it's not what it was 5 or 6 years
ago. Of course, the IT industry is not what it was 5 years ago either.
