The admissions process is much like buying a car. Because Devry is a
business and a private school the tuition is high. And the recruiters
have to convince students why they should spend more to attend Devry.
This leads to a few misleading statitics. I was enticed by the
statistic shown of how many graduates get placed in their field. But
this statistic only counts those who are looking for work through the
career services program at Devry. They will pretty much accept anyone
with a High school degree or GED. High School GPA's and standardized
testing scores are not important to them.
Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of good attributes. For example,
the staff is very friendly and willing to help with any questions that
you have. And the admissions process is the smoothest that I have ever
seen. They make sure that they will get you started no matter what it
takes.
