Dartmouth's quality of like was pretty good. The neighborhood is among the most
beautiful in the country and its facilities are pretty darn good too. They've
been working
hard to improve their student center and student athletic facilities. Crime and
safety is
almost a non-issure, but they did decide to put electronic locks on the dorm
doors --
which most students disagreed with but understandably, if they didn't, they
probably
were making themselves quite liable for a law suit. Housing has improved -- they
can
sometimes squeeze a lot of first-years into smallish dorms, but nothing that was
outrageously bad. The best dorms (in terms of location) are among the smallest
dorms
while the furthest dorms from center of campus (which is relative since it takes
about a
12 minutes walk to reach the two furthest points of campus), tend to be a little
nicer and
roomier. Dartmouth's dining facilities are probably the best in the country.
Because it is
run by Dartmouth, they really strive to make sure they have a great selection of
foods
that are healthy and delicious (or in the case of some of their other locations,
greasy and
delicious). I had lots of friends from other schools come and be completely
amazed at
the quality (and quantity).
