I think that Dartmouth provides strong career options for its graduates. Of
course, I graduated at the height of the job market in 2000, so my comments
should be taken in perspective.
I've also recruited Dartmouth students with good results for a few reasons.
First, they are well-rounded: they are smart, have good practical knowledge, and
can talk to people. Although not every Dartmouth grad is like this, I get the
feel that it's a higher percentage than at other good schools.
Second, the trimester system teaches Dartmouth students to work under pressure,
which is good experience for the corporate world. Because of these and other
reasons, Dartmouth graduates tend to do well getting consulting, investment
banking, and other business jobs that are typical after graduation.
