The admissions process at Dartmouth was similar to the process of the other
schools to which I applied, which included several Ivy League schools and a few
others. That process included a written application with an important essay, and
an interview with a local alum. Applicants were also encouraged to visit the
campus. I waited until I knew where I had been accepted, and then planned a trip
to visit those schools. I went to Dartmouth first, and loved it so much that I
cancelled the rest of my trip, stayed there the whole time, and handed in my
acceptance. Dartmouth has a program for prospective students where they can
visit campus and are able to room with students who volunteer to host them. I
met
a lot of people who became good friends once I matriculated.
