Cornell has an amazing career services department and several of the colleges
within the University have their own, separate career services. Almost every
major company you can think of comes to campus to recruit. There are two career
fairs at which students have the opportunity to meet with representatives from
hundreds of companies. This is a great time to establish relationships with
recruiters. Even in a tough job market I was offered positions with several
major companies. The prestige of the Cornell name carries you far in life. My
big advice career wise is - summers aren't vacations - take several internships
throughout your college career. This will help you decide what you truly want to
do and it looks great on your resume. And a bonus, you may start out at a higher
pay scale because of the experience you received in your internships.
