| Full-time undergraduate program |
Cornell has a two-part application for both freshman and transfer
applicants:
In part 1 (only one page long and easy to complete!), you'll provide
vital information such as your name, address, and which college you're
applying to at Cornell.
In part 2 (essay questions, school forms, and recommendation forms),
you'll give us insight into your academic, extracurricular, and personal
interests and strengths.
Cornell has no bias in favor of one application version over another.
Content is by far the most important issue---not whether you fill out
the application on line or by hand at your desk. (Note that we don't
accept the Common Application.)
In addition to parts 1 and 2, you'll need to arrange to have official
records of all your secondary school and/or college-level work and
standardized-test scores sent directly to us. Once your file is
complete, the Undergraduate Admissions Office will pass it along to the
undergraduate college you've applied to at Cornell, where the selection
committee will review it.
You may apply to only one of the seven undergraduate colleges at
Cornell:
College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
College of Architecture, Art, and Planning
College of Arts and Sciences
College of Engineering
School of Hotel Administration
College of Human Ecology
School of Industrial and Labor Relations
Each college has its own admissions requirements for freshmen and for
transfers. If you have questions about admission to a particular college
at Cornell or you would like college-specific information sent to you,
the best thing to do is contact the college directly.
