Admission & Application Survey |
| Full-time undergraduate |
A little tip about Cornell's admissions: If you are a weaker student
than most applying to Cornell, consider applying to one of the state
schools in a more obscure major, even if you are from out-of-state.
Once are you are in Cornell, it is relatively easy to transfer from one
college to another.
Guys: if you can convincingly apply to a major in the College of Human
Ecology, you stand a much better chance of being admitted, since the
school is still overwhelmingly female. For example, if you are
interested in business, consider the Policy Analysis and Managment
major in Human Ecology. If you are biology or science oriented,
consider applying to the Nutritional Sciences program.
If you examine the statistics across all colleges at Cornell, you will
find HS GPA and SAT scores are not uniform across the colleges. If you
really want to come to Cornell but are a weaker student, avoid applying
to Arts and Sciences or Engineering and focus on programs in the state
schools. You might also find something that really interests you.
