I would have to say that the quaility of life of campus is very good.
Being located in upper manhattan is a plus because you are technically
in NYC yet there is not all the distractions of downtown right outside
your window. Campus dorms are campus dorms there is no way of getting
around that; however, Columbia does have considerable pricing for the
location we are in. Since the campus in within a 6 block radius it makes
Morningside Heights the Columbia Community. Although in New York City
crime and safety within the Columbia community is very well organized.
The security helps in keeping the Columbia community and neighborhood
around it safe.
