The majority of students live in campus housing - close to 85% - which
is unusual for VA schools. The campus is gorgeous and very safe, though
it does have its occasional crime (you can read about it in the student
newspaper - all reported crime is published in the Police Beat column
and it is usually short). Campus overlaps with Colonial Williamsburg.
Not many bars, but you get to know the few very well. Students are not
allowed to have a car until their junior years - and even then parking
is sparse. All in all, W&M students are spoiled by their gorgeous,
safe, historical surroundings!
