Employment Prospects Survey |
| Full Time |
Career prospects are bright after graduation. With the helpful 'gate alumni whom
have an above-average connection to their alma mater, networking opportunities
are boundless and valuable with the high proportion of alumni working in finance
on Wall Street, as CEO's or as leaders in the media, advertising, or education.
Colgate has an especially high concentration of graduates on Wall Street, due to
the stellar Economics department (9th in the nation) and the gool-ol'-boy
atmosphere that is fostered at the school and naturally translated to the
workplace. The career center is involved and active with employers, graduate
schools, and job preparation for undergraduates. Some networking or
resume-building meeting is held almost every day of the school year by the
center, and some are held over winter and summer breaks in big cities at
corporations. Colgate seems to carry a lot of prestige with employers, and it is
oftentimes confused with an Ivy-league school although it's in the Patriot.
