Interviews for prospective students are all conducted by current CMC
students, which might help take the pressure off of students who are
intimidated by talking to admissions officers. There is no reason to
fear the CMC admissions staff, however-they are without exception
overwhelmingly friendly and helpful. They seem to really enjoy their
jobs and they want to help all qualified applicants get admitted. In
terms of the criteria they look for in applicants, leadership positions
and a well-rounded background are high on the list. Academic achievement
in high school is important, but the admissions staff takes pride in
bringing students to CMC with a healthy balance of extracurricular
activities as well.
