Ottawa is Canada??s capitol and a safe city. While I lived off-campus, I
spent alot of time there (obviously) and found it ideal: a system of
tunnels allows you to walk from one end to the other, connecting all
buildings, without going outdoors - fantastic for those blistering cold
winter months. This is a great advantage for those who opt to live on
campus. There is also ample off-campus housing for early birds and
several pubs and restaurants on campus as well as great work-out
facilities. Ottawa also has canals which, when frozen during the winter,
allows you to cut through the city by skating, walking or biking directly
to the campus.
