Having lived outside of Fresno in a college town, I can appreciate the
lower cost of living: housing, recreational activities, living expenses.
The city of over 400,000 is full of great restaurants and shopping
within a college student's budget. In addition, to the urban exposure
the city is within 30 minutes of mountains, lakes, rivers including
Yosemite and Sequioa National Parks. While Fresno does suffer from the
same problem most large cities do of crime, pollution, poverty its on a
lesser level.
