Admissions are done through a CD, not a paper application. Cal Poly
looks mostly at GPA and test scores, the SAT and ACT. Extra-curricular
activities, though not completely ignored, do little to increase
likelihood of acceptance. All degree programs are impacted, however
Business, Engineering, and Architecture appear to be the most
challenging to get into. It's difficult to change majors after entering,
so it is best to choose a major that will give you career options,
rather than lock you into a technical program you may regret getting
involved with later.
