the country, awards the BBA degree. The Weissman School of Arts and
Sciences offers a BA degree in fifteen major fields, as well as unique
interdisciplinary Bachelor's and Master's degrees integrating the arts

Freshman Requirements
Students who have never attended college should complete an
Undergraduate Freshman Application for Admission on which they indicate
Baruch College as their first choice. The application requires an
official high school transcript (or GED scores and diploma) and a $40
application fee. We suggest students complete a minimum of 4 years on
English, 4 years of social studies, 3 years of mathematics, 2 years of
foreign language 2 years of lab science and 1 year of visual arts.
Students who meet this criteria will be admitted based on their overall
high school performance and their performance on these index subjects.
Alternately, the College will admit students with minimum SAT/ACT scores
of R1200/27 respectively. All freshmen coming directly from U.S. high
schools are required to take the SAT/ACT. Students with a GED over 300
will be considered provided that they have satisfactorily completed the
required high school units. Students who have previously attended a
college or post secondary institution are considered transfers.
Transfer Requirements
Students who have attended college(s) or post secondary institution(s)
should complete an Undergraduate Transfer Application for Admission on
which they indicate Baruch College as their first choice. The
application requires an official transcript from each institution
attended and a $50 application fee (if applicable.) Transfer applicants
will be screened initially on cumulative GPA of all institutions
attended and academic history. Students who have earned less than 30
credits will also be evaluated on their high school performance.
TOEFL Requirements
Citizens of countries where the native language is not English and whose
secondary and post secondary education were not in English are required
to take the TOEFL exam.
Baruch College attracts highly motivated students with the academic
background needed to succeed in its rigorous programs. The students
admitted have typically taken a full program of college-preparatory
courses in high school and completed them with strong grades. Baruch??s
reputation has grown in large part because of the increasing strength of
each year??s incoming class.
The vast majority of our students receive financial aid. Awards range
from relatively modest stipends to financial aid packages that cover a
substantial portion of the annual tuition or, in some cases, even the
full amount. Awards are determined by a federal needs analysis.
