The tension that arises between the undegrads and the post-bacs makes
the place a little rough. The cost of living is enormous around the
school,a nd there is not on-campus housing option. The professors have
little to interest in you as a student. So, the atmosphere is pretty
bleak! The up side is that most post-bacs have a similar background
and tend get along well. Most are rich, Ivey kids who share the goal
of getting into medical school. BMC has farily old facilities. The
science building is archaic, at best. However, the education is very
good. In genereal, BMC is a prety depessing place. The college is
located smack int he middle of a very wealthy town that has little to
no interest in actually haivng the college around. The students seem
to be having a very unusual college expereince as there is little to do
besides treking into philly, which is a dump anyway. Most post-bacs
just go to class and leave campus. All the facilities are avvailable
for use, but BMC doesn;t have a wealth of facilties in the first
place. The school depends on its relationship with Haverford. For
example, if Haverford ahs a book in its library, BMC will not bother
stocking that book. If Haverford offers a class (say religion), BMC
will not have the class. Most students study int he science library if
they stay on campus. But, fights erupt between the post-bacs treying
to study and undergras trying to study. Most undergrads see post-bacs
as invaiding their campus.
