| Full time undergraduate program |
Program is very loose once you are admitted. Curriculum is extremely
free and itself has virtually no standards leaving students to their own
devices. Obviously, there are many highly motivated students who are
very serious and are absolutely first class and gravitate towards those
parts of Brown that are rigorous, but the extreme looseness of the
system means that you have students who can get by doing absolutely
nothing. The only exit requirement from Brown is an initial acceptance.
Courses vary widely in size and quality. Many are quite large. Image
of "Ivy league-small class contact with top professors" is largely false.
Extremely politically correct in all respects. Center and right of
center opinions are strongly discouraged.
