Waltham is a great little town. Lots of Indian and Thai restaurants,
and the best ice cream in the world at Lizzy's. The dating scene was
awful! I had the worst time with that. I ended up just dating people
over summer breaks, and after I graduated. But, despite my bad luck,
there were some happy couples that got married right after graduation.
The social life at Brandeis was quiet. Again, it was what you made of
it. It is cliquey, and it's hard to make friends at Brandeis. I had a
small group of friends who mainly studied all the time, when we weren't
decorating our common room and playing drinking games without drinking.
That said, I still managed to go out to restaurants all the time, I
went clubbing every semester at least once, and I even got to go to a
bar when I turned 21. There is a Greek system, but I wasn't part of
that. Some people really liked it. Boston is really close by, but I was
disappointed by Boston. There really weren't any mixers with people
from other schools.
