Quality of Life Survey |
| Full-Time Undergraduate |
I lived on campus for a year because the typical freshman housing
facilities were inhumane. I lived with a roommate in a room smaller
than my bathroom in my new apartment in downtown Boston. It's not in
the city center, which is nice as far as congestion, but it is near
Fenway Park and all games can be heard for miles around.
The dining is mediocre. I became a vegetarian after looking at some of
the food. The food has gotten better since I left campus but if you are
a picky eater, I suggest getting a very lenient meal plan. The student
union is stocked with fast food, which reflects in the growing
waistlines of students.
I feel really safe at BU although I normally wouldn't see police
walking around. There have been crimes on-campus and as a result,
security in dorms has become strict.
There is an amazing workout facility to open in the next two years. It
is better than where the Celtics workout and I'm sure it will be
reflected in your tuition bill.
