in addition to studying English in the College of Arts and Sciences, I also
studied Journalism in the College of Communication. If you are a student in a
vocation-based college such as Engineering, journalism, business, your chances of
getting a job and connected with employers is much better. The College of Arts
and Sciences don't really have a solid career services office and most likely the
internship and job opportunities come from faculty.
BU has a nice reputation and is regarded as a good institution. I believe the
prestige increases once you leave Boston because there are students from MIT and
Harvard to compete with.
