Clubs were available for any interest whatsoever, and if there wasn't a
club on campus it was moderately easy for students to get a club created
or an intermural sport. For example LaCrosse wasn't a sport on campus
until some guys got together and decided that they were interested in
starting a LaCrosse team.
Additionally, there were so many activities to become involved in on
campus. On a weekend, many different clubs were always sponsoring
activities, and the on-campus bar had a band scheduled to play. In
addition to the on-campus events, there were numerous bars in Beloit
within walking distance.
