| part-time undergraduate program |
Again, because we were a unique group of adult students attending only evening
classes, most of us did not become
involved with the social life on campus. From my observations of bulletin
boards and other notices around the campus,
there seemed to be a variety of activities of interest to many of the students
who attended day time classes. Most of us were
there for a specific reason...to complete our undergraduate degree as quickly as
possible and also be able to contnue with
our "day jobs" and our keep up with our families. It was a very busy 15 months,
but extremely rewarding and very satisfying
to set goals for ourselves and then be able to reach those goals together as a
group. I'm not sure exactly the graduation rate
for our class, but it was very high...we only had a couple of students drop out
before graduation, and several of those were for
heatlh ro family reasons. Unfortunately, one student died during the course of
this program, which was very difficult for all of
us since we became a very close knit group during this time.
