| Full-time undergraduate program |
Babson is situated about a 15 minute drive from downtown Boston, but
based on the location and environment, often seems like it is much
further from the city. The campus is absolutely beautiful and very well
taken care of year round. The buildings are all well maintained and
over the years since I have graduated, many have been gutted and
updated. The Student Center (added after I graduated) is a beautiful
building which also houses a performing arts center which is wonderful.
Dorms are located in a few central areas, but provide enough variety for
students to chose from (ie. area on campus to be located, type of rooms,
etc.). All of Babson's facilities are beautful, and most are fairly
new. The sports complex is a fantastic building, with basketball
courts, volleyball courts, weight room, indoor track, indoor swimming
pool, indoor tennis courts, squash and racquetball courts, an
aerobics/dance studio and more. There are also many outdoor tennis
courts, as well as expansive outdoor fields for various sporting
activities. The town of Wellesley where the school is located is a
beautiful town and the crime rate is very low. In the four years that I
was an undergraduate student, I do not remember any significant crime on
campus and was never afraid to walk around by myself, even after dark.
The central dining hall at Babson is a well-appointed facily, with
something for everyone to eat, including a deli area, daily soups, salad
bar, ice cream bar, and of course, hot meals. The food was always
excellent and they would have a special dinner night every month with a
certain theme and they would also decorate the entire place to fit in
with the theme.
