Because most students have already their Bachelors, most were married
and all were working when they were accepted at the Art Center, housing
needs was never a subject discussed. There was generous financial aid
available, so no oe complained about living expenses. The only complaint
was the high tuition cost. You need a car to go to the Art Center. It's
located at a state park, up a beautiful but winding road, at least 3
miles from the closest bus stop (very few in Los Angeles anyway!). There
is no crime in the school area, because it's so far away from the
crowds.
