Social life is probably one of the best in the U.S!(which makes it a
little bit harder to study, though). Tempe (ASU) and Scottsdale can show
off a variety of restaurants, clubs, bars and hideaway's worthy of a
metropolitan city. By accord of many visitors to ASU, and rumors
elsewhere, the people (both guys and girls) are considered to be among
the most beautiful in the U.S. (can easily challenge all the California
schools there, just for reference).
The Greek system has lost much of its influence over ASU as a number of
fraternities have been thrown off campus. Still, other student clubs,
the remaining sororities and fraternities provide a great social
atmosphere.
ASU also have one of the most diverse student populations. Countries
from around the globe is representet, where India and Central Asia is
overrepresented. European students (Norway, Sweden, UK, Netherlands,
Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Greece, etc) also attend, though with
less students than their indian and asian counterparts.
If ASU is one of your choices, the best tip is to come and look for
yourself, whether you are a parent deciding together with your teen, or
if you choose among universities by yourself.
