Job Responsibilities
Drafting, publishing, maintaining policies, procedures, and best
practices - 5 hrs/wk
Drafting & publishing weekly company-wide Quality e-newsletter,
which includes operations news, customer news, policy/procedure
changes, weekly pre-shift scripts for all field job categories,
best practices tips, etc - 15 hrs/wk
Providing Area & facility management with support, training,
internal consulting, technical support - 5 hrs/wk
Procedural & technical R&D and process engineering for new
systems and processes to be implemented system-wide - 10 hrs/wk
Quality control & internal audit of facilities, as well as
development & maintenance of internal measures & audit
applications - 5 hrs/wk

Job Requirements
Required: 4 yr BA/BS
Preferred: BA/BS in Industrial Engineering, Business Mgmt,
Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain Management, or similar;
MBA; or equivalent experience.
Nature of program(s): demonstrated high level of achievement more
important than core cirriculum
Careeer path: varies, depending on entry qualifications
Typical: 3-6 months field training in freight terminal locations;
2-3 years Engineer-in-Training at corporate HQ; 3-4 year
assignment as Field Industrial Engineer at major distribution
center location; 2-3 year assignment as Project Manager at major
distribution center location; mulitiple track options from there
include advancement in Operations Support management at corporate
HQ or mid-level entry into field operations management or Field
Management of field industrial engineering & project management
resources; all three tracks can lead to senior level management
at corporate HQ.

Entry level $50K+ depending on qualifications; current salary
$90K+, with 10% bonus tied to company & individual performance;
stock option plan starting at mid-senior management level.
