Job Requirements
A minimum requirement of year 10 high school certificate is
needed or a course in hospitality would be wanted. of course the

Uppers
I really enjoy the communication and the interaction with the public in my job.
Everyday you see different people from different places with great stories to
tell of their travels, as in the hospitality industry you get a great deal of
tourists. You get many lovely compliments from the patrons in regards to the
services i provide them.
|
Downers
The biggest downer would be the cleaning, once you have met all
these great people and heard wonderful stories you have to clean
up after them. Some customers are in no hurry to leave either
which means im not going anywhere until they leave. That can be
hard if you have a family at home.
|
Lifestyle
this job is very flexible! it just fits in with my life easily. i have 2 school
age children and my job works around them as there are many staff members we can
help one another out. i dont do any travel apart from the occasional food
preperation course.

Compensation
Award wages are paid, tips from the customers and depending on
where you work you may receive discounts.

Advice to Jobseekers
Chiefs are VERY demanding. You are working under the chiefs name
so they expect a great deal from you. You really need to listen
to the customers very well and get it right, it is demanding but
rewarding as well.
