Job Responsibilities
Engage and encourage employee participation in community
projects particularily those that fulfill federally required
community involvement. Train select group of employees in
details of program, engage them to promote program in their
areas and support management's requests for community
involvement. These efforts can take 20-30 hours per week, but
sometimes less. Lots of emails, phone calls, and meetings take
up the rest of the 40 hours.

Job Requirements
None needed.

Uppers
Getting to support nonprofit organizations in meeting their missions with
employees who volunteer for these organizations.
|
Downers
Bad managers who only look at return on investment and can't
fathom a program that provides intangibles instead of actual
dollars.
|
Lifestyle
Dress code is business casual. Work is in cubes. There is some diversity, about
30% of dept are people of color. Some business travel, could be 6 times a year or
1 time a year. No social events tied to work.

Compensation
Every employee is given a chance to list goals for year and then
create a weight of how much each goal will bring them in bonus
money. Bonuses are about 4% but, can be nothing too. It depends
on how the manager rates you and that is totally up to them, not
how you actually performed. My experience is that it doesn't
matter too much how much you accomplish or how great you
perform, if the manage likes others more, then they get the
bonus and you don't.
