Job Responsibilities
Provide administrative assistance to Account Executives; handle
phones, maintain files, prepare instructions and track accounts.
Generate correspondence, interface with clients and assist with
special projects. Most of the work involves preparing
instructions and tracking accounts (20 hours a week), then I
compile completion reports for completed programs (10 hours a
week). The rest of the time is special projects, and daily tasks.

Job Requirements
No special training needed.

Uppers
The best part is working with good people. Sometimes the work is interesting as
the Account Executives I work with work with major film and television studios.
There also seems to be a lot of room for advancement and several people in
different departments to move to other departments and move up in position with
frequency. The company does a lot of "hiring from within" which I think is a
great thing.

Downers
The job bores me to death. I'm very bright and paper pushing and
filling in forms requires little or no creativity. Sometimes I
get busy, but it's never for the entire day. I have enough
downtime to do things like complete surveys online.
|
Lifestyle
Work hours are 8:30 - 5:00. I never travel for work. There are company social
events only a few times a year. The dress code is casual business attire. I
never work overtime.

Compensation
Base salary: $34k/year.
Full benefits.
Options to buy stock.

Advice to Jobseekers
If you excel and love administrative work then this is the job
for you. You get to work with great salespeople, however you
realize you do a lot of the legwork for them while they bring in
the BIG bucks. The job I find is easy for what you get paid. I
was a marketing director for a radio station in Texas and only
made 30k/year. You could do worse.
