Uppers
1)Quality of people! Everyone that has ever left the company has said the one
thing they miss the most is the people. All are highly motivated, very
educated,
and well-balanced individuals. It is also a very social company. Many
employees
end up marrying other employees.
2)Training-It is unmatchable! Very specific and detailed. Entry level
employees are given training on the all the systems, as well as other skills
(including how to best utilize a Franklin Planner!). Continuous education is
required and provided by the company. Employees have the opportunity to
reevaluate their skill sets to define what positions for which they are best
suited. There is also a significant emphasis on how to identify & improve
existing skills through performance evaluations with the employees's supervisor
and peer evaluations called 360-degree feedback.
3)Experience & Exposure-There are many opportunities for individuals to work
with different customers & companies, including some of the largest companies in
the nation-ADM, Cargill, General Motors, Toyota, Dow Chemical, Shell Oil, &
others. Employees have the ability to gain exposure to different commodities &
industries.

Downers
1)Location-Most of the jobs are located in Omaha, NE.
2)Promotion policies-New employees are rarely hired for anything
but entry-level positions. Most people are promoted from within
