Job Responsibilities
Responsibility for internal financial analysis, annual forecast & price improvement plan for Dry Feed Ingredients & Oils budget, $310mm in 2004 (1-2 hrs/day). Review statistics & customer production to evaluate market potential and UPRR market share (1 hr/wk). Manage freight prices & negotiate freight rates with customers to reflect market & competitive conditions( 3-4 hrs/day). Review costing estimates & implement strategies to reduce costs through better equipment utilization or carrier renegotiations (3-4 hrs/day). Provide weekly forecast reports & quarterly business reviews that address market share, competition, and changing market conditions to Vice President of Agricultural Products (1 hr/day). Manage & supervise one Market Analyst.
Job Requirements
Undergraduate degree required. Ongoing continuing education provided by the company. MBA not required, although it is supported and partly funded by the company.

There is also a significant emphasis on how to identify & improve existing skills through performance evaluations with the employees's supervisor and peer evaluations called 360-degree feedback. 3)Experience & Exposure-There are many opportunities for individuals to work with different customers & companies, including some of the largest companies in the nation-ADM, Cargill, General Motors, Toyota, Dow Chemical, Shell Oil, & others. Employees have the ability to gain exposure to different commodities & industries.

1)Location-Most of the jobs are located in Omaha, NE. 2)Promotion policies-New employees are rarely hired for anything but entry-level positions. Most people are promoted from within unless they are at a very senior level.
