Job Responsibilities
Responsible for monitoring interest rate risk on US Trust bank's
balance sheet. This includes Asset/Liability modeling,
fixed-income security purchases/sales, hedging, derivatives
purchases/sales, strategic pricing guidance, budgeting, and
performance measurement. All aspects of my position involve a
combination of quantitative analytical skills and qualitative
explaining skills.

Job Requirements
A BA in Economics or Finance is required, as well as most-commonly
an MBA or similar advanced degree. Most individuals in this
position have at least 5yrs experience in the Finance / Securities
arena.

It's exciting doing transactions in blocks of $25mm+!

The position can involve a great deal of pressure and short-deadlines.

Lifestyle
The hours vary, but expect to work 50-hour weeks, with the occasional 80-hour
fire-drill. Travel is relatively limited, except for conferences. Depending on
involvement in trading decisions, individuals in this position may end up going
out with brokers several times a month.

Compensation
Compensation packages are attractive, but you need to 'put your
time in.'
