Job Responsibilities
1. Tracked, analyzed, and compiled daily, weekly, and monthly call volume data for management. 2. Maintained report procedures on daily average call volume of 400 calls and 50 customer emails. 3. Reported issues related to incorrect pricing and client information to department manager. 4. Responded to account inquiries pertaining to balances, mutual funds, stocks, and prices. 5. Reviewed and conducted quarterly job performance evaluations with associates. 6. Performed accounting functions in customer system applications. 7. Conducted enrollment meetings in Spanish for medium size companies. 8. Technical support for Voice Response system and web applications.
Job Requirements
Had to have computer skills (word, excel, outlook) as well as 5 years of customer service experience. Type at least 40 wpm and have communication skills. Ability to speak and write in Spanish.
Uppers
Ability to interact with entire company. Lead and supervise a group of employees. Voice my concerns and ideas to management. Play a key role in decision making.
Downers
Were the lowest level in the corporate hierarchy. Concerns and Ideas were hardly ever notice. No employee recognition.
Lifestyle
Working hours were from 8 to 5pm Monday thru Friday and in my position their was no business travel. Company had employee gatherings on major holidays. Dress codes was business casual and on some events the company had jeans day. Were I worked employees were more mature group. Age ranging from 30 to 50 years old.
Compensation
I started my position at 32,000/per year and am now at 42,000/per year with no bonuses. Company provided health insurance and 401k benefits with the company paying 60 percent of the cost.
Advice to Jobseekers
Get some experience in a customer service capacity. Computer and communications skills is a plus, as well as a college education with good writing and verbal skills. The title Team Leader falls in the catagory of Customer Service Manager, Call Center Manager and Supervisor. The outlook is great because companies are always looking for good employees willing to assist customers via phone or web and jobs are plentiful.
