Assisting the students with the learning material provided, and
occasionally helping them with other things like formatting a
University essay.

Job Requirements
Do you mean what I did to get the job or what I teach? I learnt
what I know by doing it. I have NZQA level 3 computing but that
is really quite basic. We do not have any tests in the course I
am teaching.

Flexible hours. Manager not breathing down your neck.

Having to find something to do when it is quiet. Whims of
students.

Lifestyle
Now that it has moved to Upper Hutt I have to travel 30 minutes each way twice a
day by car, unlike when it was in Petone and I only had to walk for 10 minutes.
Attempts at group social events have not worked well. Good flexible job, full or
part time.

Compensation
began on $16 per hour. Now on $35 000 per year (about $16.85
per hour)
