Advice to Jobseekers
Masters degree or PhD necessary for advancement. Professional
recognition as Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified
Safety Professional (CSP), Certified hazardous Material Manager
(CHMM)or Registered Enviornmental Manager (REM), and a
Registered Enviornmental Health Specialist are necessary and
helpful in professional advancement. The CIH, CSP, and CHMM may
be required for promtion and upper mobility. Job prospects are
fair to good depending on the region of the country you are
willing to locate too. Opportunities in the Federal government
are good, but you have to be willing to wait and put in your
time to access upper mobility. Plus you will need to be willing
to relocate for upper mobility.
