Job Requirements
Bach degree is required. An MBA or law degree is extremely
helpful in attaining employment in this role. Clients tend to be
attorneys and so there is a "walk the walk" attitude.

Uppers
Autonomy is the best feature. If you have proven yourself as a producer and as
having a strong work-ethic, there is not a lot of micro managing that occurs.
Clients are intelligent.
Information industry has strong legs. It is growing and will continue to grow.
There is long-term stability.
Managing the territory as though it is my own business.

Downers
Not every sales call goes well. Sometimes you lose and that is
never fun.
Competitive marketplace, buyers can be very price-motivated.
Selling the "value" story is a challenge sometimes.
Not enough admin help to get basic reports, etc. out the door.
Too much time spent on putting our fires rather than selling.

Lifestyle
Legal background is helpful, even if its a paralegal
certificate. Interning at a law office is terrific as you will
be able to demonstrate that you understand the way a firm/law
group works.

75% base, 25% bonus opportunity. At plan earning over $100K.
