Job Requirements
Most advisor have a diverse background with a focus on education and youth work. My undergraduate degree is from Ga Tech - BS - IMGT -- then I did Post Bac work at Ga State Univ. to aquire a certification -- and finally I completed a Master in Education at Ga Southern University. At all three universities there were wonderful prof. --- that were willing to spend time working with students -- the classes taught by thoses prof. were always popular - and at times difficult to find a space in the class. -- like in all professions --there are good and not so good members -- and this was true at all three universities -- BUT on a positive note -- when I found myself in class lead by a less than great prof.. -- and found that the material presented was lacking -- I was always able to find another prof. to work with me to complete the knowledge needed from those courses. Most classes were outstanding -- well presented and useful. Grading was very competitive at Ga Tech -- much less so at the the other two schools.
