Location: Champaign, IL
Experience: Entry-level
Highest Level of Education: Undergraduate Degree

Job Responsibilities
I grade an assignment for an undergraduate statistics class at the University of Illinois for about 40 students every week. This generally takes me about 7 hours total time. I am also in the office about 3 hours per week, during which students from that class can come in for help.
Job Requirements
I had to complete a B.S. degree in statistics, and concurrently enroll in the M.S. in statistics program. Most students think the classes required are difficult, but I think they are fairly easy.
Uppers
I can work flexible hours on grading assignments. I get my tuition waved as well as receiving paychecks of $8/month.
Downers
I find it difficult at times to be consistent with grading, or to decide whether or not an answer is close enough to receive full or partial credit.
Lifestyle
This job does not require any dress code or business travel. My office hours are from 1-2:20 pm on Tuesday and Thursday, and I generally work on grading the assignments Friday and Saturday afternoon.
Compensation
I get one paycheck each month of just over $800. The school also waves my entire tuition fee for the work I do. Other than that, there are no real specific benefits.
