Job Responsibilities
Underwriting credit, supporting Investment Banking teams, goofing off. 50/30/20
Job Requirements
Columbia Undergrad: Great program, easy to get classes. Highest quality profs, although the staff is too liberal to describe with common adjectives. Workload is moderate, grading is easy. MBA, Wharton. Overall terrific. Hard to get a handful of popular classes, all others a breeze. Outstanding profs. Workload is cake, grading of little importance given nondisclosure. Had a blast.
Uppers
Goofing off. Travel. Nothing related to the credit side. Meetings with very high level corporate officers at clients.
Downers
Credit work is boring.
Lifestyle
Travel is moderate, workload is very light. Estimate 50-60 hours per week. Dress is business casual, more casual for women. Very open environment.
Compensation
Comp is somewhat below average. VP bases are $100-120 I would estimate. Bonuses this year for 3rd year VP's $120-$200. Benefits are fine. No options at VP level. Bonuses are all cash.
