Job Responsibilities
In the job, Organized the office, also Assisted students in getting a tutor or becoming one. In the area of computers Worked with both Mac and PC, and with several different forms and programs. This was to do payroll, various entering, data, graphics, as well as communication with tutors and my boss. Each student assistant Created flyers and posters for recruitment, as well as walked all over the campus to put them up. we also Helped to organize and implement public relations campaign. also expected to do Filing, duplication, some data entry, answer phones and take messages, assist with special projects, mass mailing, word processing and typing, running campus errands, and other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines. Familiarity with the Macintosh computer and its various applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Good typing skills, accuracy and detail-oriented is a must. Willingness to be flexible in work tasks and to run on- campus errands.
Uppers
Fairly good pay (7.63/hr starting). very flexible hours. was an on campus job so the people involved were very forgiving when considering classes, and life in general. The job never interfered with my studies.
Downers
Strict employers. Duties were expected to be done immediately, efficiently and perfectly. But you get used to that.

Compensation
with work study you start out as 7.63 per hour, and after 325 hours you are eligible for a raise of 15c per hour. you must apply for the raise and recommend yourself, however.

This is an entry level job, do it well and be sunny and nice and you get recommended by the people you work with for several other jobs. this is the type of job that can get you places from nowhere if done well. i call it a foundation job, and anyone can do it. employers are very forgiving if you tell them right off the bat that this is your first job but that you are willing to do your best and work hard.
