Job Responsibilities
I started out as a barista for a couple of months and was
promoted to shift supervisor and was on the fast track to
assistant manager. I had a stint of taking over the whole store
for a short period of time while the manager was on leave for a
couple of weeks.

Job Requirements
I went to two interviews and was hired that day. The training was
the best I have ever seen. You spend a week going to other
classes with new comers in the area and you learn a lot. They
also have many manuals to take home as well as workbooks to
continue your education. The management team is very helpful as
well as the dm's that are always around.

Uppers
The company I think is one of the best to work for in the nation. Your job
salary was good. They give benefits to part time employees. Advancement is very
easy and they encourage it from within. The training is impressive. Yes, you do
get a pound of coffee a week for free along with your discount.

Downers
There is not much to say about the job in general that is
negative. The most I can say is that some mornings are VERY
early. And you will never be able to scrub the coffee smell from
your work clothes.
|
Lifestyle
Dress code was black or white collar shirts, black pants or long shorts, black
shoes, NO perfume or selly lotions ( as it mixes with the smell of the coffee) No
nail colored nail polish, long tied back, tasteful make-up. No visible tattoos or
peircings. The work hours vary, Shift managers were around 36 hours , part timers
range from 10-20 managers around 40. There were plenty of classes to attend if
you want management, which were paid for and hotel stays were covered along with
comute gas, etc.

Compensation
We started out at 7$ when minimum wage was 5.50. Reviews were
every 6 months. I earned around 8.50 when I left.
