Job Responsibilities
My responsibilities are to generate contacts who will agree to listen to a presentation for about a half hour, after which the phone lines will be opened for discussion. After the prospect has decided to try our products, it is my responsibility to move them through the remaining steps of getting started. I will also follow up with them in 48 hours to help them with any other questions they may have, and to find out what they like best about our products, and to show them how they can make a business for themselves.
Uppers
It's a good feeling to have someone agree to listen to the presentation. It's even more rewarding when a customer gives me feedback on the products they have purchased. Everyone is so impressed with them. Since I was there myself, I know the excitement they are feeling. It's like Christmas when delivery day comes.
Downers
You have to sift through many calls to find the interested ones. Being more of an intravert, I am still uncomfortable with talking to strangers. There are many hours spent this way and you have to keep your thoughts focused on the positive calls that come from time to time. You can begin to feel that you are your own best customer; a total opposite of your intentions.
Lifestyle
As you accumulate customers and a residual income, you start to feel your dreams coming true. At this point, the hours spent making phone calls can begin to taper off a little, without ever stopping, since you still want new customers. Working from your own home allows you the freedom to dress casually, or to even work in your pj's. You have the opportunity to travel to places like Texas, Germany and Hawaii every couple of months to gather with others in the business from many different cultural backgrounds. These special occasions give you the opportunity to dress up and meet those of whom you have only heard their voices for so long. You might even be able to go to these places in that new yacht or new car you were able to finally purchase.
Compensation
This line of work has a great potential for making you self supporting after several first months of hard work. With a commission of 7% of the total sales per order as your base pay, you are off to a pleasant start financially. In no time you will be able to add a residual income based on your customers customers.
Advice to Jobseekers
A bit of good advice is not to come into this business thinking that all you have to do is join, and the business will generate itself. Don't kid yourself. Nothing's for nothing! You have to work long hours and work diligently in the beginning, but it's worth it in the end. It will happen if you give it the jump start it needs you to give it.
